I have new blue tin for my MKII and have been toying with the idea of painting the old red parts in ZRX green and using the original gold & white reproduction decals which are readily available. This would not be an ELR paint scheme but something more modern. I've never seen anyone do this.

Would it work? Has anyone ever done this?
I guess a good place to start would try and find the ZRX paint codes. Anyone?

That's right!. There was the metallic pea green (like your photo) the lime gold and the green apple... at least 3. My fave is the lime gold. I think it will really look good with the white and gold MKII stripes. Now to find those paint codes.

You might also look at GM's synergy green. That's what I'm planning to go with on my '82

The ZRX1100 used a Pearl Jade Green. TheZRX1200 used a Candy Lime Metallic.

The Synergy green is cool as my brother and I used it on our 1969 Camaro build, but looks like a combination of the ZRX colors listed above.

All that matters is if YOU like it. Either of those colors would work IMHO. I would go with the Pearl Jade if you want it to look more ELR and the Candy Line if you want it to stand out as more modern.

300kph,
Did you repaint the your parts to the original MKII blue, or did you buy that Japanese aftermarket set? I'm looking to repaint the original blue, and am having a hard time getting paint info
