Man that looks great. I love that you removed all the badges. Unless someone knows, nobody will have a clue what the hell it is. how much longer is that gixxer swing arm over stock?

So the M unit is great but we did have an issue with shielding the actual m button. It was picking up interference and we had to get it shielded within a steel tube so it would be grounded correctly.

I have no idea man. Haha. I appreciate the complements. I get a lot of questions and thumbs up when I fill up at the gas station.

Sweet job on your bike! Nice to see what appears to be a father/son project? I have a 1994 KZ1000P.
Feel free to click on my signature to see before and after pics. Future plans include upgraded front and rear suspension similar to yours, then I need to figure out what color to paint the bike. I live in California..... summer is here so I will get some riding in and work on it this fall/winter.
These bikes are a blast to ride. Mine runs strong and smooth. I cannot stop anywhere without someone coming up, wide eyed, full of questions and memories. I love it!
Happy wrenching and riding with your son

Your bike inspired me to do a similar build. I have a 1993 KZP That's 80% complete. I've been surfing the net to buy a chain and sprocket, but I'm not sure what length I need. Could you tell me what length was need for your bike?

I'll have a similar issue when I get my arm on the bike. I have some old chain I can put together to test for length. I'm at 92 links now and they sell them up to 104 off the shelf. I might need 94 or 96 and they come in those sizes too.

you can always mount the sprockets and then wrap a string around the sprocket s and measure the string and do a lil math and figure out the # of links.

Re: Re:Custom KZ1000 Police
12 Feb 2016 05:53There's a little fabricating need to make everything fit. I didn't have the means to do the fabrication myself but I was able to go to a local welding and machine shop to do my fabricating. The steering stem ,mono shock mount, and swing arm pivot bolt and bushing will need to be fab to fit. To do the mono shock conversion is really not that difficult. This Is my first street fighter build and I've learned a lot doing this on my own and reading others who posted build threads here on the forum. Do your research on parts that will work best on your bike and budget.triketdrew wrote: WOW!
