Kz 750 cafe racer questions on fuel tank and seat was created by mtnman
Hey Guys,
Picked an old kz 750 for $200 for parts needed to finish my 82 gpz 750.
The kz runs and I'm going to make what's left into a café racer.
I'm wondering if anyone has done this and used a different tank on the bike?
The fuel tank is rusted right though on the bottom and I can't find a used one.
Wondering what other guys have used..ie cb 750 tank?
Also what kind of café racer seat works on this bike.
Any info would be great.
thanks Mike

I have this one on my LTD:
www.roccitycafe.com/roadracer-cafe-racer-seat
However you may have to cut the frame on yours to get it to fit, not sure.
On the upside, if you go with a tank from a LTD (which seems like it should fit without modifications - anybody?), this seat mirrors it well.
In any case, it was really well made, so this guy's other seats are probably worth a look. Good luck!

I don't think Omars has tanks, but you might want to contact them just incase they know a source. At any rate, they may have other cafe stuff you'd like

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNo eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThere's one or several companies in India making aluminum cafe tanks. They have a wide selection on ebay.
Here's one.
You'll have to find a way to get dimensions from them to see if one of their tanks will fit.
Here's one with a seat.
But you will want to do some research to see how good they actually are, and if they are legit.
