Which Model?

Saw a craigslist posting for a 1983 LTD 1000. Went to see it yesterday and it didn't look like an LTD. Bought the bike and happy to have another project. I've only had LTD 750s before. Title says 1982 KZ 1000. There is no badging on the side covers. Owner said original tank was replaced and painted. Is it a KZ1000? VIN =

It looks like an Ltd to me, because it is.
Stepped seat, no rear plastic tail cover, fat 16" rear wheel, & lots of chrome.
The Ltd handlebars have been removed.

Thanks guys. This is the first KZ I've had without the factory bars and I like the straight bar setup.

I've never seen an LTD without the LTD badging on the side covers. Did they come stock like that?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationIt would've had LTD/1000.
Stuff like that can be checked at Kawasaki.com or Partzilla or etc.
