gas tank

I just bought a 82 1100 a2 the previous owner started to turn it into a bobber style. He didn't have a tank with it.what year and model tanks will fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Probably for sure the 81-83 KZ1100-A1/A2/A3 Shaft models. If you can't find one of those, I think the next closest match will be one from any other KZ1100 Shaft drive model. From the diagrams at Parzilla they all seem to use the same rear damper, but the rear tab is slightly different, so I don't know how the fit will be.

The GPz1100 tank looks to have the same rear tab, but the shape of the tank is different... sometimes a different shaped tank can cause interference w other stuff, such as the triple tree or seat. The GPz & 1100 shaft frames look the same at the attachment points, though.
