Sooo... I have new project, I am thinking of mating two projects into one, I have a 1987 XT-350 with a bad engine (the red one in my avatar, that was when it worked), I also have a mid 80's gpz -550 engine just sitting around collecting dust. I am thinking of mating the two together, besides making a new airbox and relocating the rear mono suspension, is there anything else to be worried about? I think that it wouldn't be worth crap but it would be fun to me for enduro type riding. I would have to make new engine mounts and then would make my own skid plate and slide pucks, move the foot pegs out some but beyond that I don't think it would be too hard. What does the community think?

If I do do it it would make for a heck of a write up I suppose but would need to invest in a good camera first lol I'll take a few days and let more people weigh in

Nelson8708 did that Yz125 with Kz550 motor inTusch's link.
I'd like to see how an xt would turn out.
My buddy has a spare KLR650 frame, and I can probably piece together a Kz550 motor.... Hmmmm

I changed it to gpz after the fact (edited) and the xt i think will fit the engine better than a yz lol. Anybody want an Xt 350 engine for parts?
