Kawasaki never used Phillips head bolts on KZ models; they are Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS). I just wanted to clarify that for anyone reading this who might try to tackle the original bolts/screws with a Phillips screwdriver - bad idea.
None the less, rusty bolts of any flavor look like crap, and your replacements look good. Ed

I'm sure they can be pounded out with an impact driver, but the problem is that the Phillips screwdriver tips are too pointy to properly seat in a JIS screw, so the crosshead slots will deform. No standard Phillips screwdriver bit will ever fit like a JIS bit or modified Phillips. Below is a picture of how they should fit. When they fit like this no impact driver is needed to remove them. Ed

Impact driver isn't half so effective as the tool I pictured.
I You can't fix it with hammer, it is an electrical issue
