OK community, I thought I would start a thread on my build. 1977 kz750 twin.

First, A THANK YOU to everyone else who posts about their builds on here. I've owned my 750 for two years, and this forum has been a huge life saver (aka $$$$ saver!)

Also, all the threads about jetting, and advice from @650ed has been incredible.

I just bought a yamaha fz8 *no hate* and ride that as my daily driver. So what to do with the old 750? chop chop weld.

So basically here is the upcoming build:
take the bike down 1.5" by pushing in forks and remounting rear shocks
fabricate undertail exhaust straight pipes with washer baffle (well there actually won't be a tail) - has anyone done something like this to a 750?
fabricate air intake (no pods here, too many out there). Still not sure what i want to do here... gonna hit up autozone for inspiration
rewire as barebones

Attached is a sketchup of my idea... Thoughts?

77 kz750 twin.
pods, open pipes, rat smoker

Simple, clean, but you might be able to fry an egg on that seat  But, you won't know until you try it! Good luck with it B)
