cycle bench? was created by ggenovez
Hi all,

I was over on fleebay looking for some parts, and in the background of the picture below I noticed a nice solid bike stand.

Anybody make one of these? any idea how they get the bike up there?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Looks like a 2x4 and some plywood painted yellow...hope they put in some cross bracing, no idea how the bike got up there based on the construction.

you can use scrap/crap from construction dumpsters...i stockpiled stuff after they were stripping forms at a parking garage job....asked nice...no problem, help yourself....some liquid nails and some crews and eye bolts and an afternoon...the bike is gone but I still have the bench and another bike is on there now....i trimmed 3" off the bottom of the four corner/posts/legs so it now sits a little shorter...but still very nice to work on stuff without bending over...

I have some plan on my other computer that the cycle bench see-saws and you drive it up and lock it down. I might have even got the plans from this site? However, I made mine out of metal, I am going to make another one in about 2 weeks out of wood- my metal scrap pile here in Hawaii is just too small, and I have a large wood pile though LOL- will post it tommorow. It really is the best thing next toa full-air over hydraulic lift.

Okay- found them as promised. I believe this to be one of the easiest and cheapest bike lift/cycle bench plans you will ever find!
