1981 kz750 monoshock bobber (photo links repaired)

Posted some of these in a thread for parts for sale from the donor bike so anybody interested could see what their purchases are funding. Here they are plus a few more of what we've done so far.

I'm working with a guy many of you may have known until he kind of dropped out of the internet world, and he wants to remain anonymous until the bike is done. The asymmetrical retro rocket-styled mounts are his designs, as well a few other ideas we're making to the bike he's named "fucker." It's been an interesting build and we're both happy with what's been done so far.

Some are working, some are not. I'll have to look into this.

Looks great, nice work and keep up the pics to the build. How much travel will you have in the rear? Do the mounts you made move the arm back some? Liking the stance.

Hey Wayne
Thanks for the compliments. The mounts stretch the wheelbase 4 inches, and the travel is set up for 4 inches with the shock having 1 inch of travel. Bouncing on the bike it feels pretty good. My next project is to mount the rear fender, and the rear break pivot, and master cylinder. I am using the stock front fender for the rear, but have widened it 2 inches, and it will be adjustable, so that it will keep the same lines when the chain is adjusted.

I am wondering if the fender could be mounted to move with the axle?

It's going to move, but will have to be adjusted separately from the axle when adjusting the chain.
