I took my 82 Z1100 spectre left switch apart and have trouble with it sticking. I cleaned the contacts and then used triflow oil on the white plastic and brass cage that forms the switch. Now it is sticky and does not want to slide smoothly at all. I know that some plastics you arent supposed to oil. Anyone have experience cleaning and lubricating the switch? Can newbies attach pictures? Thanks, Randy

I do not use any lubricant on switchgear. I will clean it all up really good and put in all back together dry. Never had any issues doing it that way. If you lube it up allit does is collect dirt and eventually gets sticky again.
