I've been out of the game for a long time due to selling my business in 2006, moving to the other side of the country to a new life, new woman, and a series of new jobs which pay less than I am used to. But slowly, very slowly, a new bike is coming together.
The bastard child of my late 1990s dragbike and my late 2000's streetbike will combine the best elements of both, and will hopefully be quicker and faster than either of them. It will have suspension like the streetbike, but an alcohol engine like the dragbike.
The spec will be as follows:
904cc billet block motor with alloy rods, oversize valves, single stage lockup. Wolf V500 EFI. Some kind of high powered inductive ignition with Mercury boat coils. 4 x 900cc injectors. Liquid cooled charge cooler. Single TB. Fibreglass body. WP shock with Spondon swingarm. VERY short USD forks. 16" front wheel.
The seating position will be 2" lower and 4" further forward than stock. The frame has been modified to run a 16mm offset sprocket and 200mm tyre. The fuel tank will be under the seat.
Don't expect this to be finished any time soon, it won't be. Progress will be measured on a geological scale. But I will get there. One day. I always have

This will be, effectively, a "Pro Street" bike, except smaller capacity, much older, and running on alcohol instead of gasoline.
