The rectifier converts alternating current from the alternator into direct current used by the bike's electrical system.

that's good reference. What the main issue is that the bike's title was switched or entered wrong when being transferred from jersey. I'll have to pray when they run the vin that neither is stolen. I'll be striping the engine and wiring before inspection. So at the worst comes to worse I'll have a good running engine for sale or the base to a shifter cart even, put it into the ninja.
