New 96 KZ1000P Project was created by Kellen
Hey guys! Been so long since I've had a KZ that I had to create a new username. Anyway, I'm picking up my first 1000 today. I've had 4 650's and loved them.

What I'm picking up is a 1996 KZ1000P. 22K miles, runs great, super clean, never laid down. The PO had it painted, put on the drag bars and small lights, but other than that, it's stock. He is throwing in the bags and front fender with it. I'm paying $1600 which I think is a great deal for this type/year of bike.

My plan is to get it painted the traditional white and black. Get a digital mini gauge and some euro bars, throw the bags back on and ride the snot out of it. I think the P bikes look great just stripped down a bit and hopefully in about a year I can turn it around a sell it for a little profit.

Will be posting pictures as I start tearing into it.

Well I drove a couple hours to pick up the bike and to my surprise it was just as clean as in the pictures. I got it home and put on the bags and am really digging the way it sits. I'm planning on selling it towards the end of summer so I think in the meantime, I'm not going to do a thing to it. It has all the stock wiring, unchopped and for the most parts all the stock equipment. I figure with the intent of selling in a while, I'll get the most money for an almost stock bike. What do you guys think.

Very nice bike Kellen. You did very well on the price. And its nice to be able to get a turn key bike to ride instead of a project bike from time to time. Enjoy!
