Yeah, I thought there would have been more damage too. After re-building it and crashing within 500 miles of the re-build I just didn't want to tear into again. I let it sit in the corner of my garage and cried everytime I looked at it.

The fairing is from Maiers manufacturing. You can get it just about anywhere. They make it in a small and large body version. Mine is the samll one, you do have to fab the braketry though.
I installed the Vapor dash when I re-built it in 2010 prior to the crash. I reslly like the digital display, easy to read and has warning lights for RPM and exceding a pre set speed. Also has a shift light, really cool instrument, not that difficult to install and my favorite part about it is it's only about $150.00.

I like the Vapor setup. I might have to try one out on my current project.

Got the tank done today. It was pretty rusty inside, used the old vineger trick, worked fantastic. Also painted the tank emblems.

Your tank looks great.
What's this vineger trick.
Never heard of that one before.
I've got a few tanks in need of derusting.

Fill it with White vineger it eats rust out but dont attack the steel. Then when clean dump all out and rinse out with denatured alcohol, then fill with new fuel or oil to prevent flash rust. Works really good.
