what did you do to the fins? are they painted white or plain aluminum?

I don't really have a thread on the Shaftie rebuild. I bought it last spring for $700, stripped it down to the frame. Pretty much every part on the bike has been cleaned, powdercoated or polished or painted. It has a fresh Wiseco 1045 kit and I also added a pair of Kenny Harman 380 cams. I think of it as completed, but we all know when it gets ridden there will be some other tuning or whatever issues to fiddle with. I can't wait! I have not ridden a KZ since my 78 Z1R back in 1982.

Wireman had it right, I filed and block sanded the fins.

Doing the fin's between the spark plug's is fun.

Came of the 650 motor that was in my bike.
Bike's an 80 model but not sure of the motor.
