get it together and ride, decide what you like and don't like about it, transfer ideas to next bike build. You have a running ride and can take your time and money as it flows to work on build. ;)

I would also ride it if you dont think you can have it done by summer. Yet if you already had the 1075 kit and your motor was healthy it wouldnt cost alot more to get the 1075 kit in. Then as your budget allowed you could do more.

Our winters are long and summers short. I can't stand to be without a running bike when I can ride. Fortunate to have an extra one now so that won't happen. Tough call. You going to go throughthe complete motor or just the top end? If you had an extra block you could get it bored and all ready to go.

Any chance for a cheap spare motor you can build up as you get funds and then slip it into your finished frame later? Sounds like you are on top of the new front end. I would keep a rider going so you can keep your head and soul healthy.

im in the same boat as to how far im going with my build. i have a fat side check coming so im gonna pay kzz1king and order all my parts at once so if i do get held up by a surprise it will be minimal. i already did my xmas shopping and payed my bills so i kind planned it out so i can get moving all at once. spare motor is always nice but im attached to mine cause it was my dads and eventho he is alive i got nothing from him so its special to me. if you could swing it a spare motor build is the way to go.

79 kz1000 ltd all apart
the best advice i can give is dont take dnthavakawmans advice..
