I noticed that your kawasaki was worked on by Dave Page. I know Dave very well. He helped in my gs 1268 project. We used all the same people. (good taste my man) My kz is bone stock except for the JE 1015 piston that Scott Barger from S&K bored for me. He and Dave both do excelent work. I still have some changes to make on my kawi but for now it has the look I was after and it runs.Feels like a 250 on steroids.

Am addicted to Z1's and kz 900's have an el camino, fly rc helicoptors and am strung out on horsepower.

I see that it's raked trees now, 1" of trail is dangerously low which I'm sure you realize.

It looks great.

I wonder if you couldn't swap the forks left to right to make them trailing axle to get back trail without changing the look too much.

I think that would work foe getting trail back in the geometry but it would also put alot of stress in the fork casting under hard breaking. I might give it a try.

Yes it is low and cornering fast can be interesting. I feel the front end could wash out if I get stupid but other than that, it is a straight line work of art. Very stabl unless you try and keep up with a zx-7 in corners. What are you riding? Shoot a pic of it (mike)

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.
That works for switching direction on calipers on standard forks, but that could be really dangerous not to mention really weird looking with those forks.

How about just using standard forks from an early gpz, should be same diameter as the csr forks Im thinking anyway B)

Why would that be dangerous? There's a few factory bikes with trailing axle forks, so that in itself is not dangerous. Yes the calipers might look odd but nothing should be unsafe.

Youre loading the fork from a differant direction is what Im thinking,on a standard for with caps on bottem it doesnt change.
It might work but seems like a gamble to me anyway B)

This is what I ride.

5 deg of chassis rake, (29 deg as it sits), 1.024 offset trees, 5.2" of trail. 62 1/2" wheel base
it's a little lazy getting in a corner but very stable at big speed.
What I was getting at is at 1" of trail you'll have speed wobble very easily if your not perfect on your bearing preload and have stabilizers.
I was in no way dissin your bike, it's beautiful! I love the look you ended up with, I just don't want to see anyone hurt! A lot of people will sell a product knowing it isn't best case scenario but they made a buck none the less. They see it as a show piece which it is! But be careful!
