Well I scored a Kerker on fleabay. It is solid but banged up a bit in the usual places. I need to try any straighten it up a bit in the collector area. It was chrome that has been repainted.I will sand it down and redo it. I figured I saved about $550 over a new one so cant complain. I really like my old V&H pipe but had a rotted out Kerker once that sounded pretty sweet so I will give it a try this summer.

i had a kerker that was pretty dinged up, in the second bend and in the collector. I tried the water trick but its thick enough it didnt work. i took it to a guy that fixes headers for mx bikes. he did a great job for $60. i just need to paint it.

What is the water trick? Filling and freezing? It sure does seem stout.

yeah filling with water and letting it freeze. some people swear by it, but i think most of the time its used for 2 stoke expansion chambers. i tried it a couple times and it didnt work. I even had a friend put it in the deep freeze at his work to see if it would be better if it was real cold. no luck. you might try it since it wont cost you anything.

I got the Kerker fixed up a bit and mounted. I like it. It just has an end cap but sounds pretty mellow until you crack it!
