Teaser,

Now i have a question for anyone with a 750. with the bike upright and no load on the seat. what is the distace from the ground to the bottom of the frame? I have no point of reference for my next set of welds.

I just took this pic with the help of my grandson. If its a 750 4 cyclinder (mine is a 1980 750/4 E1) then I measured 9 and 1/2 inches from ground to bottom of frame close to the side stand, both wheels on the ground, bike upright and level. Maybe a smidgen over the 9.5 inches

Just some quick teasers of what is going on and what is to come. I really don't want to put to much on a build thread as my job is very demanding of my time and i often go weeks without touching the bike. And i Hate build threads that go one for years without completing. This will start when the bike is completed. I am documenting nearly everything that I do and I am keeping a running bank tally as to how much I spend. I'm hoping to inspire others to do something radical to these old Kaws. I could have changed the headlight and put clubman bars on and called it good too.
Estimated completion date: September 1, 2012.

Perfect, I want to maintain a stock ride hieght setting. I will be able to adjust +\- 3" but i want the center position to be stock.
