82 kz 1000 ltd project
11 May 2012 19:47
hey everyone..i'm just about to tear into my kz project...i hear alot of bad stories about wobble..besides good tires bearings bushings and steering ..does rakeing them help? i'm a welder and i do a bit of body work too so i'm pretty sure i can do it ..i'm just wondering if its a good or bad idea to start with...i plan to lengthin the swing arm and just leave the shocks in their original mounts which should lower the back end some..maybe a 3 inch lengthen or 4 maybe not sure ..this is going to be a bobber...i love that kz 1000 engine tho
1982 kz 1000 ltd ..someone started to make a bobber out of it and realized it didnt' run and they didn't know how to run their wrenches

rake may help, but i would not rake it to cure a stability issue.that would be a lot of work for nothing. fix the cause first.
then, only rake it if u want that look.
