1981 kz650 csr was created by schilling12
First post so figured it might as well be my new project. It was a tough decision but i had to sell my Honda Hawk NT650/gt647 to pay off a loan for a truck that doesn't even run and had $800 left
to find a new bike. Thanks to all the pics of bikes on this site, they eased my pain of getting rid of the Honda and got me excited about my new Kawasaki.

Spent a week riding it to work and seems to run perfectly so figured it was time to start taking it apart and make it mine.

spent some time cleaning it up and attempted first time painting of exhaust. I think it came out okay.

new handlebars on the way, chopping up the rear and attacking the seat this weekend hopefully

well i think i need a few more hours of staring at the back end before i get to it so...i spent a few hours figuring out how to get a headlight on her(i bought it with a windjammer fairing on it) without having to track down all the original parts and i came up with this.

was stumped by what to do with the rear end most of the day...my whole mindset behind this bike has been making it unique and spending little so i just decided to hack away and see what i could come up with.

was really disappointed with the open look and this was the solution to cleaning up the back end

still waiting on handle bars to arrive and cant wait to get them as i think it will make decisions on the rest of the bike easier if i can see the entire flow of it. got a little more mocked up tonight...any opinions on shape of seat and debating to keeping rear fender on?
