Frame color survey.
I can't decide what color to paint the frame. I have narrowed it down to the following:
1. Gloss Black
2. Truck bed liner black
3. Satin nickel
4. Hammered black
Give me your input and help me make a decision. Thanks!

Forks and other bits painted today. A little frame clean up as well.

The frame is going to take awhile, it needs a lot of attention.

I just did mine in gloss black using spray can engine enamel. I've used rustoleum hammered black on a jeep trailer frame as well as on my jeep wheels and it looks great too. The only parts on my jeep wheels that have chipped are the inset jeep logo that I didn't scuff up enough. What did you paint the front forks with? I was thinking about doing that but I did just go buy a bench buffer I haven't tried out yet...

I'd stay away from those Firestone balloon tires...

The forks and all the covers are done with gloss black appliance spray paint. I read somewhere that it's rugged. I don't know about that yet, but it looks good.
The Firestone balloon debate! We could go on for hours.....I like em'. They look great and make me ride slower. Slower = safer. I used to ride like johnny speed racer until I put those bad boys on. These tires require a different riding style that's for sure, not for everyone.

So I picked up a 1960's Honda Dream gas tank and petcock that I think would look cool on the GPZ café rat bike. With a little tweaking I can get it to fit.....sort of. But the real issue is the rust inside!!!
Here are the before pics....I have it soaking with 2.5 gallons of white vinegar inside. Stay tuned for the after pics.
