Hey Peeps,

since September 30, 2011 I've been messing around with my dad's old bike, a '78 650 SR. I have a few steps left, which are finding a replacement rear wheel, a chain, carb filter box, make my own seat, electrics, and lights. I'm going to make a mount for a GPS to use as my speedo. I'm also making a disply for my light indicators and all. i should be done with it in a few weeks or 2 months.

All that I've done to it is:

Chopped the rear frame "hoop" and brought it closer to the cross piece near
suspension stems

Added a 2004 GSX-R 1000 front end onto it

Put new gaskets and seals in the engine

New Ignition system: (DynaTek DC1-2)

Rebuilt all of the Carbs

and cleaned out/ up the gas tank and also rebuilt the Petcock

Here are some pictures. I'll have more once I take more...

I forgot to mention that I'm having problems with finding a replacement rear rim. I would like to find something that looks close to the front. I bought one on ebay, an OEM, but when I opened the package I founf out that it was for a drum brake system, not a disc brake system. Totally ruined my day. If any of you could shed some wisdom or info on the matter it would be very appreciated.
