Just bought a KZ1100-A today

Hi,

Just bought a 1983 KZ1100-A with a built motor - 11:1 compression, runs on 104 octane jet fuel. :-) Beautiful shape, 23k miles. Got a great deal for $600. Any tips on maintaining the bike? Any suggestions on securing the fairing to the bike without rattle factor?

Taylor

Yep, doesn't count if there are no pics! Isn't that on the welcome page for the site yet???
I crack me up!

Na, seriously, securing the fairing shouldn't be too big a deal depending on the type of fairing it is. You can always get some rubber washers to dampen the vibration at the mounting points.

But if you're running jet fuel, you may want to add some more mounting points to the bracket. I'm just say'n...
