My first build was created by dizl27
So i purchased my 1977 K650 in the winter of 2009. After looking at numerous sites and forums i was confident that i could build a budget bobber even though i had never owned a street motorcycle in my life. Well about 2 years later im almost finishing it up. There was some lag to my build that had many reasons.( finances, frame change, my son, work, etc..) I also had purchaded another bike for such a cheap price and started to ride it. You can tell by my pictures that the rear end has changed. I think that had a big impact on me finishing. I couldnt stand it at first but a hardtail was hard to come by.
Right now im at a cleaning up stage. Wanna change all gaskets, fix welds and figure out my color. I know the scheme im going for, its just the frame color i am pondering on. Hopefully have my bike finished by spring. Just this one adventure into bike building has got me hooked. I plan on building them as long as i can. Or at least as long as the wife not crazy from it. Lol
