thought i would update my project. it started for the first time on its own today. Sounded rather nice unfortunately i need to pull the carbs at least one more time as the number three is still dripping and it wont run with the choke off  . now im just happy im getting somewhere. has a zx12r front master mounted up on the front end and i finally got a brake line to make it work. .

Is there oil in the forks? Sounds like it's time for fresh oil, seals and a set of new Progressive springs.
While you're at it, clean and re-grease or upgrade the bearings in the steering head.

Yes, tapered steering bearings make a huge difference in your bikes handling. As does a fresh rebuild on the forks. Race Tech has some goodies for the forks if you feel inclined to mod for superior handling.

Do you think the bushings are shot? I have never had to or tried to replace the bushings. I know old, dirty, milky fluid will kill the bushings. The factory springs were never up to the job either. Hope you get it fixed quick and under budget.

Just going to swap out the forks. They are tolerable but I'm not up to rebuilding them I may just change the first.
