thanks again Leon. Now I have to decide do I paint it or try and polish it.
My ADD keeps me from focusing on anything that takes forever to do like
polishing. It has to be sanded either way so I will start on it and
see if I can stay on task.
Got home today to a bad Pump on the washing machine No big deal
except that this one takes the expensive pump. No new Tire this week!!
Hope they have it in stock in evansville online it's 179.00 online
but I have only looked one place.
Guess I am going for the USD zx6 forks as soon as I get the mono setup done
I need to start parting out the GPZ So I can finish this project before
spring I plan on riding by 1st weekend in May for the Blessing of the Bikes.
Any Tips on Polishing the swingarm??

computer and start working"
So I went ahead and mocked the wheel up on the swinger I will
say I really have to get busy.
I am ordering the Sprocket from PMP
tomorrow/ the smallest I can go with this wheel is 40 tooth in a 520
does anyone have any experience with colored sprockts or is there
an advatage to the "hardcoat" process or is this a gimmick to oversell
their product.
ordered a of brake pads now gotta get sanding and painting/or polishing

I should have biught a new Rotor this one is a little iffy
Attachment swing12121114.jpg not found
The wheel needs a little more polishing not sure if you are ever
done with that process. Work has slowed down so I hope to
get alot done in the next 3 weeks.

polish this swing arm is to srip the paint and try it.
I need to invest in a Soda Blaster but I am still on a budget
not in the cards on this build.
I still have some leftover stipper from my wheel polishing adventure do
I will give that a shot
Attachment swingstrip01.jpg not found
Looks like it's working pretty good maybe I will keep goin
Attachment swingstrip02.jpg not found
The paint is coming off pretty good so I grab an brush and its
brushing off pretty easy
So after a couple applications without any gloves (that shiz burns)
i break out my pressure washer and hit it.
My selection of sandpaper is horrible all I have is 60 80 220 a piece of
500 and and sliver of 800 so I decided to work the rough finish down
with the 80 then go to 220 I quickly sanded the whole thing then hit it with
the 500 wet decided to hit it with some Mothers just to see how bad
this was gonna be
Attachment swingsand04.jpg not found
220 grit
Attachment swingsand06.jpg not found
Attachment swingsand01.jpg not found
Attachment swingsand02.jpg not found
Attachment swingsand03.jpg not found
a quick polish with the mothers
So it's official I am gonna go with a polished swingarm
going to pick uo some sandpaper tomorrow
When I get the scratches out I will hiy with some 2000 grit and
some rouge and hope it was worth it

Am doubtful about soda blasting to remove thick paint.

thanks for the kind words.
i have seen some swingarms where they left the coating on the inside of the arm and just polished the outside to save some work  .
my buddy has a stunter dude that polishes wheels and swingarms and he said that he starts with 40 grit and works up to 2000.just hearsay so take it fwiw.
your work on the wheel polishing speaks for itself so keep on keeping on.

Gonna mount the swingarm wheel and brakes. measure my offst and chain length then tear the bike complletely down. it always makes me nervous to totally disassemble bikes they have a unique way of ending up in a few tubs and shoved to the corner of the garage.
Gonna try and get as much done as possible going into this mess. umm I mean build
