Welcome Tony208, missed this post first time, but looks like you have made lots of progress.
Looking at the second picture from your first change, do your fork tubes have extensions at the top?
Single gauge and smaller light cleaned up the front nicely.
Any clearance issues with the raised tank and the top clamp?

Good Luck,
Jim

Looks nice! How did you raise the tank? Coincidence, I was looking at my 550 LTD yesterday and thought, boy that tank just really sits low and would like better if it was a bit bigger/higher.

I like how the profile came out Tony, very clean. And the KZ750 twin is one of my favorite KZ's. What else do you have planned? An springer seat would be nice.

Stock forks, you're probably seeing zip ties
No issues with the tank lift other than my controls hitting with the drag bars

The tank lift was achieved by cutting off the mounts and moving them up 2in and back 1/2in. they also have to be extended a bit due to the frame being narrower up top

Your bike looks sick!!!!! Love what you did and where you cut the frame!

Did you simply remove the shocks and replace with the 10" struts to get it sitting that low?

Can you please post any updates and close ups of the seat pan fabrication? I've been debating for weeks on the cleanest way to do it, I think you got it.

My dad has a 83 with only 4,000 miles on it. Never seen the rain and has been in storage for 20 years, looking to do something similar.

Thanks!

The market value of an unmolested low mileage stock bike is often surprisingly high, which value usually plummets when chopped.

It's sometimes more financially feasible to sell a stocker, and find a less pristine example to chop or to finish chopping.

Good Fortune! :)

Your bike looks good. What kind of Honda did you pull your speedo from? How accurate is it on your bike? Did you have to do anything special to get it to work other than mounting? Thanks for the info.
