1983 650 Katana, tempted...

The bike for sale is the gold one, with its engine out. The guy says it needs a con rod fitting, which he has. 400 euros.

The Katana was the first bike that made me turn my head and look at bikes when I was young. I saw one parked and was amazed at its lines. It looked fast standing still.

Never had one, always wanted one.

One of my all time favorite bikes!!! Definitely worth the wrench time and the money. I would buy it! Do you live in Europe?

Yep, I live in France, about 3 hours drive south of where the advertised bike is. I have some retoration experience, I have a 1958 Panther M100 in our barn which I rebuild completely.

sure you gotta... was it's own bird but still......the gs550, chain drive, old school is the platform for that one...and the gs550 ,set up right,would fly some major back road howling..V&H pipes,tires,bars,jetting and that was about it...FLY down a back road and vanish from other big bikes.....i'm sure you could make a ripper out of that one that would drop jaws.....






the pop up headlight last euro yr GS750ES is euro only katana/ES...find one of them too... ..course then we will need a Kat 1000 and they made one 1100 too....this could be good... the gold one....super cool
