OK just finishing my 82 650 Bobber and about to go on to my 77 650 Emerald Green Resto but twhat drops in front of me but a 70 KZ1000st with 7,000 mi. Runs like a top but has ugly fairing, monkeybars and bags on it. Seat is ugly and looks about to split and he bolted a sissy bar to the seat WTF!?! .But like I said it runs aces. New Barracudas on it. Looks like it has seen some weather but also looks like it will shine like a new penny with a lil' elbow grease. The rest is stock. Now I can have it for $1200 or straight up trade for my bobcat which I got real cheap and have yet to find a real use for. It is cool tho. Is it a no brainer? What would you do?
Here is the ST

Yeah... it's got them long hairy strings on the levers. If I get it I'm bringing sizzors!

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Yeah I know your vote ;). I'm leaning towards it. One good sleep for me and for him and I will throw him an offer of $1000. If he doesn't take the hook I think I'll go with the bobcat deal. Not crazy on having 3 bikes tho. Seems like a lil overkill. Then I went and looked at Ron's in the gallery! Can't stop the drool!

I was thinking the same thing between shafties and MKII's there seems to be a bunch lately.

i say trade the bob cat for it. u already said u dont have a real use for it , and it seem odd to have 3 bikes, so u already have your answer. trade em, and u will still have that $1200 towards the upgrades, or the 77 650 Emerald Green Resto bike.

Done deal. Pick it up tomorrow. Bobcat trade. Depending on a short ride to see if it is straight. Then to pretty it up by removing ugly and cleaning. Pictures will follow. Geese this will be one time I want to get the shaft.......:woohoo:

I spoke too soon. Deal is bust. Always look at a dry bike. 1st look was in rain, dry look revealed suspicions of mileage tampering. Paperwork was a little cheezy too. Made $500 offer and was refused. Walked away. Looks like it's me, my family, my 2 650's, and Bob Cat. Sorry about the false alarm. :(

Better to be safe then sorry. If your gut was telling you that, there's more than likely a good reason. I say good call.
