Compatibility Guidance

Is there a source that can tell me what range of years I can look at to find parts that will work on my 81 750 LTD? I found this 82 750H and thought there might be a bunch of parts I could use:

And then get into the parts diagram for the model, look up the part, then see the little yellow ? and click, there is also a S which is for superseded parts.
Member Patton has a tutorial on the process, he will most likely post the info or link to that thread.

hmmm... when I plug in the year, all I seem to get is

There are no Models found with your selection, please try again

no matter how broad I make the criteria.....

EDIT:
I got the right model by selecting it from the year, but there is no parts diagram page page for it.....

And reopen the parts diagram, not sure if I picked the right model you wanted.

got home and pulled it up on my computer. Works great. Thanks for all of your help, guys. I picked the carbs, just for grins, and noticed the carbs for a 80-83 750H are the same as a 80-81 750E, but not 82-83... Any idea as to what the difference might be?
