Hey everyone just found this website, what an amazing pool of info for the rookie builder(Me). A little background on the donor bike, I picked up my 74' KZ400 from my uncle for no charge he was just gonna take it to the dump. So after i got it home i did a search and found this site and it totally blew my mind at what i found and what people have done with the bike. I'll post some pics of the progress and probally beg for help when i get stuck and i know i will.
Go easy Please;P

Ready for welding. Im stretching out the rear end 6". Im gonna go with a hardtail. I just love that look. I basing my look similar to the 3rd bike but without the rake.

Welcome to the maddness! I have been here a short time myself. I diddnt know anything about anything just a short while ago. Now here I am still lost. But the biggest hurdle is just the will to do it. Get elbow deep in whatever you can afford. There are good people here to help you out when you get stuck. Great pics, good looking bike. Keep posting.

Ya I got the bike about a week ago, so I have about 3 hours into the bike so far I am on a very tight budget so I wanna see what i can do on the cheep. I think the only real problem i will be having is the electrical, but Im sure i can find out what i need on here. I want to do a real old school look to the bike flat black not much chrome(if any) Suicide shift. I havent been this excited about something in a while. Its over whelming me and i love it :woohoo: :silly:
