hey dont give up on the old girl. aint nothing but a little wiring. Ive taken my wiring harness apart 3 times , replaces many feet of wires. I never been taught how to work on them but a little comen cents and alot of help from the guys on this and other kz rider sight andfinally finding a replacement stator and r/r today--for 90 bucks AWSOME and Ill have her going again tonight. these people here realy do care about you riding again . hay I salute all of ya thamks. and my first bike was a 400 please fix her up and ride again

Finally had the gumption to tear into it today. Soaked the whole bike down in SimpleGreen and blew it clean. Got told I need a new bike. Bunk that nonsense.

If not alreadt done, another possibility would be to search "KZ650 harness" in ebay under motors Parts and Accessories.
