kz 650 cafe
12 Mar 2011 06:57 - 12 Mar 2011 07:36
Hi there!
Glad to be on the forum. I have a 79 KZ 650 that I am turning into a bare bones cafe bike. I was looking at some of the other threads and saw some really cool schematics. On one of them had a dyna S in the loop. I was wondering if that would be worth the $ for my project? I am going to install a small battery under the seat, but it will mainly be used for balancing the power swings from the alt. Also, I have some hotter coils that I will probably install on the bike (off of a parts bike don't know the brand or ohm). Anyway, thanks in advance for the help. I will have pics posted before long.

This weekend I yanked that stator cover off (man that magnet has got a hold on that assembly) and replaced it with the one off my parts bike. I polished the heads and covers. Blacked out the parts that were not easy to get to. The engine is really starting to look nice. I promise pics are on the way.
