81 kz750 dead bike revival project was created by Mindcake
Ok so I thought that I was going to sell my wifes 77 kz650 because I just diddnt have a place to work on it and it was giving me some engine trouble, but then we bought a house and I found a 81 kz750 Ltd bike in a pile of crap at a local "antique" dealer. I was told the Kz750 had a good engine and for the price ($200)I just took his word for it, long story short I transplanted the 750 into the 77 650 and it runs fantastic but now I have this leftover 81 750 frame and 2 650 engines (one with a hole in the #2 piston and 1 with very low compression across all cylinders). Not being one to let things go to wasted I of course considered parting out the rest of the 750 and the 650 engines but then my buddy decides he wants to build a cafe bike and asks if I wouldn't mind helping him.....you can see where I am going with this, so now I have a rebuilt 650 engine in a 81 750 frame with some mild mods (lowering the front end, lowering the gauge mounting point, lowering the headlight, playing with diff tank angles and different tanks etc etc)

here are some pictures, all comments welcome....your not going to hurt my feelings :)

If you are not going to use that seat for your cafe project I'd be interested in it. My stupid dog ate the one on my 650 CSR.
