very nice score..what kinda pipe is that...it may be rare..some one will chime in...folks around here that know the paint codes kinda keep that as a business/trade secret and that makes sense....

as one painter was heard to say....when asked by a stranger to give him the paint codes so "his " painter could paint his bike instead......answered him

hey i don't drop my pants on the first date....

that said ,maybe you can find a spot under the seat where the paint is not faded to get a match...or ask Jeff at Z-1 enterprises in an e-mail he may know and be able to steer you.......

That is a nice looking original 76 LTD It looks all there to me. Hope you got it cheap. So you can spend alot of $$ to restore it!
I would give Ralph at www.paintworkz.com the business.
He is the best and knows all the base coat, metallics, and candies to match. You really don't have a paint code, you got to have the instict, the eye for it as your laying coats of paint down. I love painting! Nothing like seeing virgin clear coat paint, right out of the gun, flowing out, drying.
Nothing has ever touched it yet. looking at it, hoping you don't see a run starting. I made a stand that pivots 180 degrees. So if you see a sager starting, flip it over 180 degrees. saves time wetsanding and buffing.
I have got lucky, with the new quick drying clear coat. Stuff dries in 5 minutes and had paint that was finished out of the gun. I did not have to buff it!

Bike is a nice collectible in original condition!
That bike needs original to the spec sheet!
So you have to redo that cylinder block too!

Good Luck, keep pics coming!

Can't see the pic clear enough, Do the rotors have holes?
I don't know myself. I thaught the rotors have holes drilled in them. Maybe the 76 did not.

thanks for all the nice replies on the bike!! one gentleman asked what the pipe was? it's a kerker pipe. would trade for nice chrome 4/1 vance and hines street pipe!!!!!!!!!!!
not really trying for a spec sheet restoration... just would like to get paint as close as possible.. and keep the period mods like we would do back in the old days...
and the 76 did have solid rotors.. the drilled rotors come out in 77 on the ltd's'.. personally i like the drilled rotors..
if anyone know's of an original owners manual available for the ltd let me know.. alway's searching ebay!! just bought april 76 issue of cycle magazine with there test article on the 76ltd!!
appreciate all the nice compliments and advice.. will post follow up pics after it's painted.. planning on dropping off the parts the end of next wk..
