I have had my KZ for about 2 years now. I have had other bikes and rode other bikes and i just love this one! however im wanting to do some modifying to it. Was wondering a couple things.
1. Will a KZ rear section bolt on and will the seat fit?
2. If I want a wider rear tire is my best bet a swing arm conversion? if so which swing arm is best candidate?
3. What choices do i have for clip-on handle bars?
4. any thoughts on lowering the front end?

I believe that is all for now. Any help you can give me on any of the topics would b awesome! i have seen a couple pictures of guys who have really "modernized" these bikes and i like it alot. Once again thanks for any help

Heres a pic of area above shocks where the tail/body work bolts on. Compare it to what you have. The bolt holes on the lower section of the hat-shaped bridge are the ones that the tail section bodywork uses. If you use a std KZ seat you will also have to swap out the side panels, but you may be able to keep your tank. The 550 parts are usually plentiful on ebay
These pics are from a KZ550D model(GPz). You can lower the forks by putting spacers on the internal damper rods. I think that the LTD forks are an inch or so longer than the std KZ forks.

This pic show the whole rear frame area. The vertcal piece on the end is where the taillight and bodywork (rear mounting point)are. I'm thinking that the LTD doesnt have this piece. It shouldnt be too hard to add on if you have welding/fabricating capabilities/resources.

These are just pics that I already had, if you want close-up or specific shots let me know
