Glad to hear you're healing up alright leon. I think you speak from experience that there are few suprises like the sharp jab of pain when you push a healing injury too far  Perhaps ist time to mill out a custom perch, but I figured you already thought about it and dismissed the idea :S

adam,
i can weld my old perch up and metal finish it much faster than cutting out a new one.plus when i complete the front end conversion(this winter, hopefully) i am going to have to change the controls around to make everything work out.

thanks guys.
i recieved my z1enterprise.com order today.it had my handlebars(black superbike bend)some new(oem kawasaki)fork boots,and some tapered neck bearings.
i also recieved my new right side fairing bracket(z1r specific)from kzrider member asevans.i can't say enough good words about him.he helped me out by splitting a set of brackets, that he had redline cycle order for him from japan.then turned around and sent the bracket i needed to me before i ever sent the money to him.
plus i recieved the super nice(FREE  ) kicker block off plate's from rslingshot today.
so it has been a pretty busy recieving day for me.
i have the next two days off work to fix my bike and am picking up my freshly painted bodywork(black) this evening after i get off work.then when my buddy gets off work at at the kawi dealer he will be bringing my new(to me)r1 rear wheel with a 190/55-17 metzler tire on it by my house.so after today i won't be back on here until monday, because i will be working on my bike then i will be riding it .pretty exciting stuff, and i couldn't have gotten it
done without lots of help from my friends and fellow kzriders thanks to all for the help and moral support.
i'll get some pics posted once i get it back together, because it looks a little different now.

Have fun on your ride this weekend. Good to hear that your bike will be back in time for the ride. Just remember, it's ok to get your knee down, and even sometimes your elbow on the right bike, but never good to get your shoulder down, or your head. :side:

Re: wrecked my z1r back together with pics.
21 Sep 2010 06:57
i got the z1r put back together.
put in some late nights and had some friends help, took a couple days off work to get it done for last saturday.i can't hardley believe that i was able to pull it off.
i did tho.with help from friends and some kzriders.
thanks to everyone who wished me well.
i don't have any "in process" pictures because we were working too hard to stop and take pics.i test rode it saturday morning and then left that afternoon on around a 100 mile ride.the bike ran flawless, even when i stretched her out to over a 100+ for a lil stretch:cheer: .seemed like it may have handled a little better than it did before i wrecked it:ohmy: .them tapered bearings may have been needed before the wreck  . here are some "after"pics.
