1980 KZ650 LTD

Here is the start of a new project of mine. Its pretty sweet how it is, but it can be so much more. Right now my focus is getting it back into perfect running order. There are a lot of issues with the electrical system. I might end up rewiring most of bikes lighting to incorporate some LED flashers and tail light. I also need to either get a vertical license plate or buy a horizontal mount. Not to mention replacing a lot of 30 year old worn out parts.

I found this mess under the headlight today. Note that I didn't do anything except remove the headlight housing. If you look closely you can see all of the disconnected wires. Its a surprise that anything worked. My goal is to get most of the switches working again, like the ignition shutoff, high/low beam switch and the turn signal indicators.
