hi guys can the fuel level be set using the clear
tube method on the bench without having the carbs
on the bike my carbs are keihn cv34 have bought a
rebuild kit for them they havent been touched for
29 years cheers

Should be able to dry set them on the bench as per the service manual.

I thought of trying to do something like this, but I think you'll get better results just by putting them on the bike and checking the fuel service level. It's not too bad because you don't have to connect the air box ducts or any cables... Just put the carbs in the holders, put the gas tank on loosly, hook up the gas and start measuring.
I recently got bit by the float height bench method on my 550. They all looked just fine and the same height, but #2 was WAY lower actual fuel level.

Yes. I use a homemade carb stand w funnel & tubing as an auxiliary fuel supply.
PS: sometimes the inverted/dry method doesn't yield the correct fuel level. It didn't for me.
