1980 750 LTD

Finally got her running. I got it for $300 and so far have only needed new tires, about 40 carb cleanings, rebuilt forks and lots of shining. Runs like a top as of today, mainly from all the help here and another Kawasaki forum.

hmm...having issues with my picture size. Anyone know how to easily reduce the size?

Oh the picture thing?
I use Picasa3 from Google. Its free and has a great viewer as well. You must drop them quite a ways, maybe 400x450 or something depending on resolution.

Ok thanks. I'll post some pictures tonight when I get home from work. She hauled me in to work today (40 miles) without a hiccup...but the front axle is squeeking...maybe needs a new bearing.

after.

Fork seals, oil/filter change, lots of shining, valve adjustment, new tires, somewhere in the neighborhood of too many carb cleanings. Still got to find a way to get that stupid parking pass sticker off the mirror.

Soaking for a while in WD40 often releases sticker adhesive without damage to underlying surface.

Good Fortune! :)

Silicone spray is a good solvent & cleaner, particularly for plastic & rubber.

PS: I hate wd40

Don't play with fire while using it, but Ronsonol lighter fluid is most awesome at removing crud like that.. peel off as much as you can, and the fluid will remove all the glue for you.
