wohoo, need some side covers..You should polish up that aluminum man. Its pretty easy and you can get that to look damn near chrome.

"Mothers" has the polishing ball used with their metal polish and a cordless/corded drill that will make short work of your wheels.

thanks guys, i polished the push rod cover but i did it with sand paper.. i went from 150, to 250, to 400, to 600, to 800, and then to 1500... it was mirror finish full on... it tarnished again though so i think maybe ill clear coat it? not sure.. i just went for a ride on the thing and i had everything tight in the rear wheel.. i found that i have been riding on a stretched chain and wore out sprokets.. tonight i decided to open her wide in first gear and it walked its ass end in the right lane and the rear wheel started to bounce and wobble:D i just kinda laughed and got it home...

If you want a drag bike, you don't have to sell your bike to get one. There are offers on the table for a chassis and motor from some of the guys I know on here.

Great job. If you trade for a dragbike your riding time will be cut way back to track time on weekends. You need two bikes to play with so you can ride when ever you desire

Hell yeah, the mothers polish is the #&@$ for sure. I use it in combination with blue magic (just for certain metals), and buff it with the dremel and some pad wheels, it turns the dull aluminum into mirror in no time!

I HAVE NO MONEY!!! thats the only reason i haven't already bought a rolling frame or engine. I found a FREE XS1100 frame on craigslist with everything except for the motor, wiring, tank, seat, and side panels. It has all the controls, brakes, lights, and wheels with new tires on them even.. He said he would hold it till the end of the week for 100 dollars:/ so much for free. It would have been a perfect start.. Gone now though.

just think if omr would of started at your age instead of waiting till he was 70! :S :laugh:
