Yeah my first task is to fire it up before I dismantle it completely. I am hoping to avoid an engine rebuild at this point.
I have had a look inside the carbies and they all look pretty clean. A couple of bits were stuck from the gum, but they freed up pretty easily. Most of the bolts are rusty and the heads of some are stuffed so I am not wanting to tighten them up so some new screws are on the way.
There is no fuel line between the tank and the carbies and it looks like the valve assembly/air switch is missing. Tank is also rusty. Once I sort out all that I'll try to fire it up. Going to rinse out the tank, then plug in an inline fuel filter on the hose to catch any crap. Will worry about a proper rust removal when it is all apart.
Also discovered a decent ding in the frame. A bit worried about that and trying to eventually register it.
