Hey I like your rear cowl, where'd you score that from? I picked up what seems to be an F3 and was planning on doing pretty much the same as you, tho mine is in a lot worse starting condition.

Good luck with it all and keep those pics coming in

Thanks, Norhtern Utah is the shit. We have a short riding season because of the weather. But the canyons and sunny summers make up for it. Plus you can ride your snowboard and snowmobiles all winter. I have been comuting up little Cottonwood Canyon all 19 years I have been living out here. I worked at Snowbird until this past spring. Check out this video I shot on a camera mounted on my tank. I left Park City traveled up over Guardsman Pass down Big Cottonwood Canyon and up Little Cottonwood Canyon. It is a 70 minute trip but I sped the video up to 6 minutes.

Cool thanks for that. Did you do any cutting of the frame to make that fit? Did you have to cut off the indicator/grab rail brackets?

Frame was cut. Seat pan was made and mounted to some post that are welded on to the frame.

I cut the frame just before the rear signal mounts so they are gone. I could of left them and cut the frame just behind them but i do not need them. Check the photo above of the tail light it is also a turn signal as either side can blink as well.

And my next project is in the background a 72 RT360 2 stroke street legal enduro that will become a Flat Tracker.

Got some work done on the tear down.

Pull the engine:
Some cleaning, paint, powder coating and anodizing. A new 17" front wheel, chrome plated spokes, air pods and a bunch more parts and it will be time to put her back together.

I tried to remember your question when I was down working on the bike the other day. Here is what I got for measurments.
width at shock mounts is 9 3/8 inside and 10 3/8 outside
width at pivot of swingarm is 8 3/4 without the plastic caps on and 9" with the plastic caps on.

Got the tear down finished!

Dam Chain has no master link? It must be a rivet correct? And the nut on the sprocket is friggin stuck any suggestions?

And what is the name of the tool I need to remove the stem from the neck?

THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

Gonna buy a buffing wheel and have a go with polishing some of the aluminum. And send it out for the powder coating, painting and anodizing.
