Thanks! :)

And yes, they are crappy cell phone pics. I keep forgetting to bring my digital camera out to the garage. I should probably just keep it out there since my bikes seem to be the only things I take pictures of anymore! LOL!

I will try to remember to bring my camera out there tomorrow since I will be finishing up the wiring and remounting the headlight. I need to figure out a good way to reduce some of the wiring up by the forks. I'm afraid the only way is going to be hacking up the stock wiring harness to run shorter wires, or to find a stock headlight/bucket online somewhere to have it inside the bucket once again. I think Z1 might carry them...

Today I played around with the carbs after noticing a very slight popping sound coming from a couple of them...carb backfire? Anyway...I adjusted the mixture screw slightly on a couple of the carbs and then backed my idle speed adjustment down....WAY DOWN! Et voila! No more popping! She now has a nice smooth idle on all four cylinders, no more carb popping, and no more noticeable rich smell to the exhaust! I'm hoping this will also improve fuel economy...but probably won't make much of a difference the way I ride! :woohoo:

I'm still waiting on that darn seat and pan I ordered from airtech on the 8th. They did tell me they were about 2 1/2 weeks backed up when I ordered, and I really have no idea how long it will take them to fab the parts for me when they get to my order. But...it has been 3 1/2 weeks, so hopefully it will be on my doorstep soon!

I think I am going to end up ordering the headlight bucket from Z1 to solve my wire-clutter issue, but I haven't ordered it yet! LOL!

Oh...slight issue (maybe not an issue) I noticed after installing the 16" wheel from a 750 LTD. The wheel does NOT turn in neutral with the bike running! It is not the wheel bearings, because it spins freely otherwise. I am thinking it is either dragging brake pads, or that I may have put the caliper-side wheel coupling on backwards (would that make a difference?). Anyway...what do you KZ gurus think about that little issue?

So you are saying that with the bike up on a center stand with it running the wheel doesn't spin? If so is your chain too tight. does the wheel spin by hand

Yes, it spins by hand just fine, but for some reason there is a slight drag (only noticeable because it stops spinning!). I will check the chain freeplay tomorrow if I have a chance. That is actually something that didn't come to mind! Thanks thompson! :)

So I loosened the chain and it still doesn't spin in neutral. I'm 99% sure I put that rear wheel coupling on backwards and since the smaller end is on the wheel side, it may be up against the inner races of the wheel bearing right there. I will remove the axle and flip that around in the next couple days to see.

I decided to throw the stock seat on her and take her for a quick short spin down the street. I can flatfoot the ground now and am going to have to get used to the rearsets and clipons. The side tag mount is definitely going by the wayside, so I will order a fender eliminator, or some other option. I got her up to fourth gear, and through all throttle positions...the jet kit from 6 Sigma Racing rules! Smooth idle, and quick throttle response.

Now where is that darn cafe seat....

LOL! :woohoo:
