Don't know if this will work, but here we go! Looks like it is a double. Here are new pics of my KZ750 project. 7.5" stretch in backbone, new custom vertical support, and seat rails going in. Frame was stretched 3" and d-tubes 2". Shock mounts shortened 2". Shit ton more to come so stay tuned.

Vertical support is a nut-cracker. No funny business like bumping your buddies tire at a stop light. That could lead to sterility.

Keep em coming...I'm always interested in seeing how folks' custom builds come out.
You are sticking with a softail set-up? Did you stretch the downtubes and backtube? How far?
Do you have any photos of an example of what you are shooting for?

The downtubes were stretched 2". Lower frame rails stretched 3". 7" added to backbone to join with vertical support. I have welded in new seat rails also. I am actually going to use a swingarm, as soon as I get the coin to pick one up, however I will stretch it as well 2"-3". I have also lowered the forks 2". I don't have a pic of a possible finished bike. I can tell you this, the frame is based off a Kenny Boyce FXR style frame with Detroit Bros. influence in the vertical center post like they use on their rigid frames. I am hoping to have the frame complete minus motor mounts within the week at which time I'll post new pics.

Re: Custom KZ Build
24 Mar 2010 13:51 - 24 Mar 2010 13:52Here is the frame as it looks now. With the exception of motor mounts, tank mounts and a couple of small details the frame is more or less complete. In addition to the various areas that were stretctched, and shock mounts shortened, I also trimmed and plated swingarm pivots, trimmed and plated top of shock mounts, and and cleaned up neck gussets. I also added gussets where I felt I needed them for strength. The plastic cap on center post is merely a representation of what I will be haveing machined to finish it.
