This is probably the most diverse class of bikes out there, where one man's eyesore is another man's jewel. I've never been a fan of rat bikes nor of bikes that I consider to be out of proportion. Apehangers together with a short frame, peanut tank and ultra low seat is one example of a design I consider almost as an insult to my eyes. But since so many seem to love these contraptions, who am I to judge :blush:

This, however, is something I consider an aestetic success

No need for a special frame. Just hack the frame right behind the shock mounts and you'll be well on your way.
