I have a line on 2 sets of 08-09 ZX10R forks. One set is complete minus the top clamp. It is a natural finish anodizing with the black chrome coating on the slider. I like the silver uppers and black lower look B) Another set is just the forks, brakes and tripple tree, but the the upper tree has already been drilled for handlebar risers  Not sure who would do that mod then get rid of the forks, but its one less step for me!

I just started reading your thread today wish I would have started when you started posting. I switched over to a 525 chain and sprockets and only have about 1/8" clearance but I and another poster earlier in the thread both have rigid rear ends so no chain movement... A bit more clearance may be required in your case.

also on the rear set issue. I used the existing top mount bolt and mounted a new bolt above it for my zx7r rear sets it moved my legs back and away from the tank being that I am 6'2" and with the clip ons it gave me a much more comfortable seating position.

sorry heres the shifter side. and I like the heel guards on the zx7r after I cut the old rear peg braces off the angle of the guard is exact to the line of the frame and I think looks good.

I'll have to check and see if there is any difference in length. 08-09 is third generation zx-10r, mine is first generation. Should be close. Those newer forks should look good on your bike. Mine have the gold anodized uppers and black lowers. Do you need to react soon to purchase the forks that you are looking at, or can it wait until I get to the house this evening?

Thanks for joining in the fun Jay. You won't be punished for being late to the party. I have some questions for you. How's the 525 chain holding up? It's the size on my zx-10r, and I would assume that if its strong enough for that, then it should stand up to the KZ. Also, I like your shifter set-up. Simple and elegant. I guess you have the motoGP style shift pattern now? 1 up and 4down.

My chain and sprockets are all from my 05 zx10r I did a 520 conversion on that and used the stock stuff. Holding up fine been on there about 3k miles. Original shift lever just cut short drilled a stud through and covered it with the rubber from the original it is gp style being that its backwards but I like it. You can use the linkage from the zx shifter but you just need to measure and make or buy a threaded shaft to fit the correct length between the linkage and the shift shaft at the side of the motor. heres the 10r

Thanks Jay,
Looks like were cut from the same cloth. Your zx-10r looks strangely familiar.

Here's my favorite theft from my 10r when I switched to the integrated tail light I had the stock led just sitting in the box so some sanding and some jb weld later...

That fits pretty good. I a planning an integrated led for my kz, but I have yet to decide what to use. Are you running blinkers on your KZ?
