You can spray some carb cleaner on the shim and it will disolve the oil under the shim then use compressed air or a dental pick to get it out.

Are you keeping the shims and other parts together with the cylinder it came out of? Roy

Buy two regular ring compressors (~$10 each) and do two cylinders at a time. Turn the engine over a little so two pistons (either 2&3 or 1&4) are at the top of their stroke and the other two are at the bottom. Get the higher two into their cyls , turn the engine over some more and repeat

looks good,it is coming back together nicely.you need all the shims you can get if you are going to keep this bike.they are a pain,but you gotta have them.i have robbed shims outta heads for years to get my selection and still need more.sorry i don't have a good word for ya on where to get them tho.
